FAQs

  • Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend it! Especially during high season (December–May), spots fill up fast.

But if you're nearby, feel free to walk in — we'll do our best to fit you in.

  • How can I pay?

    We accept:

    Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard)

    Cash (€, USD, XCD)

  • What are the best conditions for lessons?

The wind is usually best in the morning and early afternoon, especially for beginners.

Orient Bay offers reliable trade winds almost all year round, with flat water inside the lagoon.

  • Can kids take lessons?

Yes! We offer private and adapted lessons for kids starting from 8 years old (depending on size and confidence in the water). Safety gear and gentle coaching included.

  • Is the equipment included?

Absolutely — for both lessons and rentals:

    Kites, wings, boards

    Helmets, vests, harnesses

    Radios for coaching when needed

You just need to bring your swimwear, sunscreen, and good vibes.

  • How long is a lesson?

Most lessons last 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the discipline and your level.

We also offer 3- and 5-lesson packages for progression.

  • Can I change my gear if the wind changes?

Yes — especially for rentals. If you're on a full-day or multi-day rental, you can swap gear depending on the conditions (kite size, foil vs twin-tip, etc.).

  • Is it safe for beginners?

    Totally.

Orient Bay is a shallow, protected lagoon, with side-onshore wind that brings you back to the beach. Our certified instructors prioritize safety and confidence at every step.

  • Where exactly are you located?

Right on Orient Bay Beach, on the eastern coast of Saint-Martin.

Look for our flags, beach hut and smiling team near the water — you can’t miss us!

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

We’ll always prioritize your safety and enjoyment.

If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule your session or issue a refund if necessary.
